SCOTT FIELD PROJECT
To strengthen the community by providing a safe and healthy environment in which Coatesville's youth may flourish.
WHO WE ARE
Steve Kirk, coach and vice-President of Coatesville Kid Raiders (CKR), along with his wife, Shannon Kirk, founded the Scott Field Project in 2017. Alongside multiple community members, CKR parents and coaches, the idea of the "Scott Field Project" was proposed to the Coatesville Area School District (CASD) school board. SFP successfully received approval in early 2017, and from there was able to proceed with the much needed improvements to Coatesville's Scott Field Stadium. Through the 501(c)(3) non-profit seal of approval, Scott Field Project was born.
With the help of several local contractors, businesses, and community volunteers who agreed to aid in both needed supplies and labor, Phases One, Two, and Three went underway to revitalize Scott Field Stadium, and give our youth a safe, beautiful place to call home. Since day one, SFP has aligned it's efforts with creating better spaces and opportunities for our communities children. Through our many completed phases we are pleased to announce that WE ARE NOT DONE YET.
This is only just the beginning for our youth here in Coatesville.
OUR STORY
Dealing with the challenges in our nation and our community requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Scott Field Project emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, specifically our youth, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2017, we’re an organization driven by passionate ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.
